After the surgery, the Gil Motor Sport-Yamaha rider is now undergoing intense rehabilitation.

It was at the Monegasque Institut Médical du Sport that the pilot Christophe was operated on for an extremely complex clavicle fracture. Indeed it is not a simple clavicle fracture with a plate, 4 screws, a 5 cm scar!

The complex fracture resulting from the violent shock suffered by Christophe Ponsson during which the bone was fragmented, shattered and crushed into several fragments. Orthopedic surgeon Thomas D’ollonne had to do a delicate microsurgery in order to reconstruct the clavicle as a puzzle (to use his own term). The 4-piece clavicle, 2 of which were embedded in the muscle at the time of the violent shock, required the surgeon to cut off muscle and nerves to recover them.

Our pilot Christophe Ponsson will come back from the operating room with a plate fixed by 10 screws and a 23 cm scar:

The Gil Motor Sport-Yamaha driver, extremely determined to start the English race in Donington Park, supervised by his doctor and physiotherapist and his coach Randy de Puniet, will undergo intensive rehabilitation exclusively adapted to the mobility to ride a motorcycle.

Christophe Ponsson and the Gil Motor Sport-Yamaha team would like to thank Dr.Thomas D’ollonne for his availability, equal to his reputation.
